A fair that sells on its results

Before your fair, Pypelane is designed to offer each exhibitor the group of students it is looking for. During, attendance is checked station by station. After, a report is designed to show each exhibitor who it met and who it hired. The fair sells and renews on real figures, not on visitor counts.

The problem, for the team running the fair

  • Exhibitors pay for a crowd

A stand sold on visitor numbers attracts sign-ups who match no open role.

  • Not every sign-up shows up

Without checked attendance, nobody knows how many sign-ups actually visited each exhibitor.

  • Renewal gets discussed with no number

Without a report, an exhibitor weighing whether to return has nothing to compare against what it paid.

A fair, in three stages

  1. Before

Each exhibitor receives a targeted event offer, designed to set out the group of students it is looking for, the places and the price.

  2. During

Attendance is checked at the entrance to each stand or meeting slot.

  3. After

A report per exhibitor, designed to show attendees, applications, hires and cost per hire.

General stand against a stand on a targeted group (example)
General standStand on a targeted group
Invested£8,500£12,000
Attendees21041
Hires24
Cost per hire£4,250£3,000

Cost per hire = invested / hires. The targeted group costs more and gets better results: the argument that makes an exhibitor renew.

The functions that run your fair

  • Student targeting

One targeted group per exhibitor, designed to be built from three criteria.

  • Targeted offer

The targeted event offer, designed to be sent before the fair.

  • Events

Attendance, designed to be checked during the fair, station by station.

  • Results report

The report, designed to reach each exhibitor after the fair.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to change how we run the fair?

No. Pypelane adds before, during and after; running the day itself stays yours.

How do we know who visited a stand?

Attendance is checked during the event; the report then links it back to each exhibitor.

Do exhibitors see students’ names?

No, unless the student agrees. They see the size and make-up of the targeted group before the event.

Is this paid for exhibitors?

No. Building a targeted group and tracking an event is free for your partner companies.

Thirty minutes to prepare your next fair.

Bring an export of your partners or your events, with no student data: you leave with your first targeted group built on it.
